Welcome to the 13th annual Al Lee Waterfront Memorial Tournament June 20-22, 2008, Ontario’s largest and most prestigious Roller Hockey Tournament!

A special announcement for all Participants

In 2007 we decided to change the official name of the Waterfront Tournament in honor of Alfred Lee, a long time Halton Roller Hockey and Oakville Coyote player. Although many will by habit still refer to this tournament as the Waterfront, officially it will be titled the Al Lee Waterfront Memorial Tournament. Please click here to read more about Alfred Lee and the reason for the name change.

Tournament Overview:
The 13th annual Waterfront Tournament is one of the largest single weekend tournaments in North America. The tournament will include up to 80 of the best roller hockey teams in Canada and the United States. The Waterfront runs the same weekend as the Oakville Waterfront Festival, which has concerts, street dances, beer gardens and fireworks on Friday & Saturday evenings.

The Waterfront Tournament will take place in Oakville Ontario, which is known for it's beautiful Waterfront village atmosphere. Oakville has great shopping, an incredible selection of restaurants, waterfront parks and entertainment to enjoy for the whole family. This is also the weekend of the famous Waterfront Festival that has activities through the day and concerts and fireworks on Friday and Saturday night. The Oakville Waterfront Festival has hosted many great acts over the years including: Jann Arden, Kim Mitchell, The Rankins, Blue Rodeo, Colin James, Michelle Wright, Jeff Healy, Moist and many others. Visit the Waterfront Festival web site to learn more about the festival.

The Roller Hockey at Waterfront is top notch as well, as all inline programs in Ontario are represented in every age group. Outstanding teams from New York and Michigan are in Town as well to test the Canadian game before their Finals. With the Waterfront being one of the last Tournaments and one of the largest, many teams use this as the measuring stick leading up to their final events of the season.

When and Where?
The tournament will be held June 20-22, 2008, in Oakville Ontario. Oakville is located on Lake Ontario 30 minutes west of Toronto, 45 minutes from Buffalo and 3 hours from Michigan.

Who can play?
We are open to all teams, regardless of your affiliation. We have an age group for all from 8 & under to 30 & over, and Girls too. Again this year, the challenger (Trillium or AA), and competitive (Open or AAA) divisions are offered. Play at your skill level. We would especially like to extend a welcome to our American cousins, come and enjoy a little northern hospitality. There's lots to do and see in Oakville and the surrounding Greater Toronto region.

Facilities:
We will be using 4 arenas. Oakville (Sport Court), Kinoak (Sport Court), Maplegrove (Concrete, if necessary), Nelson Arena in Burlington (Spider Court) and possibly Mississauga Hershey Centre if needed.
